About the event
Wreck Beach is a secluded, 200-meter-long sandy cove hidden within Tomaree National Park in Shoal Bay. Accessed by a 1.5-kilometer hiking trail that takes 30 to 60 minutes, it is a local favorite for peaceful swims, whale watching, and relaxing.
Note that it is unpatrolled and can have strong surf.
Trail & Access Details
Starting Point: The hike begins at the end of Verona Road in Shoal Bay.
The Walk: The Grade 4 track follows an uphill fire trail before winding through a lush Angophora forest. It features some short, steep steps and rough terrain.
Parking: Limited on-street parking is available on Verona Road. Be sure not to block the emergency access gate.
